So, today I reached a very special milestone in my Celebrant journey... I conducted my ONE HUNDREDTH wedding!
I completed my wedding training in mid September of 2022, and then conducted two weddings before the end of the year. My next one came along in early February of 2023, and over the next nineteen months it's been a brilliant non-stop roller-coaster of weddings, commitment ceremonies and a civil partnership!
One of my celebrant colleagues told me right at the beginning of my training that this was the best job in the world, and do you know what? She was absolutely right! I am SO LUCKY to be doing such a lovely thing for folks - and I never stop pinching myself about how excited I get for each and every ceremony. Each one is unique and special in it's own right, and I get to work with the loveliest people.
So thank you to each and every one of the 200 happy folk that I've had the privilege of tying the knot for, and here's to the next 200!
And tonight I'm going to toast my Happy Hundredth couple with a nice wee single malt... or two! Slanj!!!
